LouFest Rumors
It seems everyone in St. Louis has been getting their fleur de lis panties in a bunch over the announcement of LouFest. It’s got an inane name, it’s going to be the hottest weekend of the year, there’s never adequate parking in Forest Park, yadda, yadda, yadda. You know what? Let’s just let this positive be a positive for once. It’s a huge wide open space, ideal for summer festival shenanigans and reminscing about the 1904 World’s Fair, which you know is something we can never get enough of here in the home of the waffle-style ice cream cone.
Plus, I’ve heard from some fairly reliable sources that the line-up is going to be b-a-n-a-n-a-s-! Now look, keep your voices down and you didn’t hear this from me, but I’m told the LouFest organizers are looking to book MGMT, Girl Talk, She & Him, and Avett Bros. (among others) as the headliners. Shhh! Nothing’s supposed to be announced until next week, so we’ll just have to wait and see. But still, dang. This is serious business, y’all. Suddenly $64 for two-day tickets sounds totally legit.
